We hope that you have already marked the dates of June 2nd and 3rd in your calendar for the 75th annual meeting of the Belgian Association of Psychological Sciences at the KU Leuven. The theme of this anniversary edition is “Fostering synergies in Belgian Psychological Sciences: From Fragility to Force”. We expect to offer an inspiring and exciting in-person experience, bringing together researchers from diverse fields of psychology, encouraging scientific exchange, and facilitating collaboration between researchers from all Belgian universities.
We are now inviting abstract submissions! You will be able to submit your abstract(s) for a poster, flash talk, or symposium. The submission portal will open on February 14th and close on March 27th.
Please consult guidelines for abstract submission on the BAPS 2022 conference website. We encourage submissions from researchers at all career stages.
A sneak peek of the program
We are pleased to inform you that keynote lectures will be provided by Prof. Dr. Marian Bakermans-Kranenburg (VU Amsterdam) and Prof. Dr. Chris Frith (University College London).
In addition, there will be 10 invited symposia covering a range of topics such as affective, social, and biological processes in social relations, vulnerable groups, comparative communication, conflict management in teams, metacognition, mentalizing, memory, and misophonia and tinnitus.
The BAPS Junior Board has put together a strong program for the BAPS Junior Day that will appeal to PhD students and postdocs.
Last but not least, a festive reception, which will take place during the first poster session on June 2nd, will offer highly valued networking opportunities for junior and senior researchers. After the reception, we plan to continue celebrations during another social event.
