Please note that membership is counted per calendar year (Jan-Dec) regardless of when the membership fee is paid. For instance, someone who pays the fee on November 1st will enjoy the benefits of BAPS membership only until December 31th in that calendar year (i.e., only two months). We therefore encourage members to pay their fee in January of each year, at which time reminders for membership renewal are emailed to our members.
On January 10th, 20th, and 30th, emails will be sent to members whose membership has expired. They can renew their membership by clicking on the personal link in that email. Membership cannot be renewed in another way and all members must use their own personal renewal link. Members who paid for multiple years and who therefore do not need to renew their membership will not receive such an email. New members can of course always become a member via the website. If you are unsure about your current membership status or if you want other information about renewing your membership or about becoming a member, please contact us at dinska.vangucht@thomasmore.be.
Please note that you can at present only renew the membership option that you had previously selected (including the number of years). We are currently working to address this issue, so that you can select a different membership option when renewing your membership.
As a BAPS member, you become part of a larger community of Belgian psychological scientists. BAPS represents both junior (students, PhD candidates, post-doctoral researchers) and senior researchers, from all domains in psychology. By uniting Belgian psychological scientists, we are able to address issues that concern all psychological scientists in Belgium. By being a member of BAPS, you help us to support values that we deem important for the psychological sciences, such as transparency, open science, and collaboration. Moreover, BAPS is a non-profit organisation and we exist thanks to the support of our members. Thanks to your contribution, we are able to organise events for our members, offer members various benefits, and build a thriving community of Belgian psychological scientists.
