The BAPS executive committee (EC) has now made a shortlist for the 2022 Best Master Thesis award. We received 22 applications, 7 from KU Leuven, 6 from UGent, 3 from VUB, 3 from ULB, 2 from UCL, and 1 from ULg. Various members of the EC who have a background in diverse areas of psychology read the summary of the applications except those from their own university. Each application was evaluated by five EC members.

The following three candidates were shortlisted for the 2022 Best Master Thesis award:

  • L. Van Den Plas
  • M. Leemans
  • B. Vernaillen

These three applications will now be evaluated by a jury composed of BAPS past-presidents and a number of experts. The winner will be announced at our annual meeting on Friday 26th of May 2023.

The EC jury members were amazed by the quality of the applications that we received. As an association that promotes psychological science in Belgium, we can only be delighted to see that our junior psychological scientists are performing at such high scientific level!
