Psychologica Belgica is the flagship journal of the Belgian Association for Psychological Sciences. It appears quarterly and publishes peer-reviewed scientific contributions to all domains of psychology as well as book reviews. Contributions take the form of full-length articles or short reports. Psychologica Belgica is listed in all major indexes, including Current Contents and Psychological Abstracts.
Psychologica Belgica articles since 2004 can now be downloaded freely from the Ingenta website.
We want to express a special thank to Karl Verfaillie, the editor of Psychologica Belgica between 2006-2009, for all the work he has done for the Journal over the past years. We are also grateful to Manuela Baretto, Johnny Fontaine and Mieke Verfaellie, resigning members of the editorial board, for their dedicated service and contributions to Psychologica Belgica.

While the editorial policy of Psychologica Belgica is not intended to drastically change in the near future, some new trends need to be mentioned. First of all, I am pleased to announce that Psychologica Belgica is now on open access. This should greatly increase the visibility of the published papers and, as we hope, help getting a higher impact factor for Psychologica Belgica. While we will keep publishing at least one special issue each year, next issues of Psychologica Belgica will see the creation of statistical notes. As a statistical consultant at the Psychology Faculty of the University of Liege, I have often noticed that researchers frequently come with the same problems and questions. These statistical notes are intended to give a short and clear answer to these frequent questions. We hope they will be useful for the members of the Belgian Association for Psychological Science. But, of course, our main priority for the next years will be to maintain the scientific quality of the papers while speeding up the reviewing and publication process as much as possible.
